How to Use Wrapper Link in BricksFly

Wrapper Link extension in BricksFly allows you to make an entire Element or container clickable. Instead of linking only text, buttons, or images, you can apply a link to the full wrapper and redirect users to an internal page, custom URL, media file, or lightbox content.

Requirment

Make sure you have installed:

  • Bricks Theme 
  • BricksFly Pro

Activate Wrapper Link in BricksFly

  • Go to your WordPress Dashboard. 
  • Click on BricksFly. 
  • Head to the Extension tab. 
  • Click on General Extensions, and toggle on Wrapper Link.

Step 1: Choose Your Target Element & Enable the Wrapper Link 

  • Select the element you want to apply the Wrapper Link to, then click on the container to enable the wrapper. 
  • Next, click on ‘Wrapper Link’ and toggle the ‘Enable’ switch to ‘Yes’. 
  • The Wrapper Link is now enabled. You’ll find the option available in the Bricks page builder.

Enable Wrapper Link

Enable Wrapper Link by turning on the toggle. To apply the wrapper link to multiple elements, select the target elements and enable the wrapper link for each one.

Step 2: Add your Target URL

After that, paste the link where you want to redirect, such as a social media page or another site.

Link settings include several available options, such as:

  • Internal Post/Page: Allows you to link the wrapper to an existing post or page on your website.
  • Taxonomy (Term): Allows you to link the wrapper to a taxonomy archive, such as a category, tag, or custom term.
  • Dynamic Data: Allows you to use dynamic link data from Bricks, such as a post URL, author URL, or other dynamic sources.
  • Custom URL: Allows you to add any custom link manually, such as an external website or social media URL.
  • Media: Allows you to link the wrapper to a media file from your WordPress Media Library.
  • Lightbox Image: Opens the selected image in a lightbox popup when the wrapper is clicked.
  • Lightbox Video: Opens the selected video in a lightbox popup when the wrapper is clicked.

In this example, Custom URL is selected as the link type, and an Instagram link is added to the field. You can add any URL to redirect the element to.

After that, paste the URL into the Custom link box of the element you want to apply it to.

Step 3: View Preview Changes 

Lastly, click Save, then select View on Frontend to preview the changes. Click the element where the wrapper link is applied, and it will redirect users to the selected URL.
